Pharmacy Quality Improvement Initiatives Sharing Seminar aims:

  • To expand pharmacy innovation projects that have received international recognition.
  • To share best practices and experiences among pharmacy facilities throughout the Ministry of Health (MOH).
  • To be used as a reference for the implementation of pharmaceutical innovation projects in the facilities.
  • To enhance collaboration among MOH’s Pharmacy facilities nationwide through replication methods, whether adapted directly or modified to meet specific needs.
  • To promote a quality culture among all members of the MOH Pharmacy.

Seminar Perkongsian Inisiatif Kualiti & Inovasi Farmasi Bil. 1/2022 was held on 12th May 2022 via Webex Video Conference with the presence of 383 participants from Divisions/ States/ Institutions.

Introduction to National Policy for Quality in Healthcare (NPQH) was also presented in this seminar.

Three (3) projects that have received national recognition in 2021 were shared in this seminar as follows:

  1. Innovation Project: Sistem Pendaftaran Pesakit Farmasi Pandu Lalu Atas Talian Drive - TAG) - Hospital Miri, Sarawak
  2. Innovation Project: MyUbat, IPKKM, Selangor
  3. KIK Project: RELAMed, PKD Kota Tinggi, Johor

Five (5) projects that have received national recognition in 2021 and 2022 were shared in this seminar as follows:

  2. KIK Project: Safety Needle Disposal (SafeNeeD) – Bahagian Perkhidmatan Farmasi, JKN Melaka
  3. Innovation Project: Portal OncoPP HTJS – Hospital Tuanku Jaafar Seremban, Negeri Sembilan
  4. Lean Project: Meningkatkan Peratus Masa Menunggu Kurang dari 30 Minit di Farmasi Pesakit Luar HRPZII – Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II, Kelantan
  5. QA Project: Reducing the Heavy Usage of Controlled Antibiotics in Hospital Seberang Jaya - Hospital Seberang Jaya, Pulau Pinang
