Pharmacy Quality Improvement Initiatives Sharing Seminar No.1/2023 aims to;

1. Expand nationally / internationally recognised pharmacy innovation projects.
2. Share best practices and experiences among pharmacy facilities throughout the Ministry of Health (MOH).
3. Serve as a reference for the implementation of pharmaceutical innovation projects in the facilities.
4. Enhance collaboration among MOH’s Pharmacy facilities nationwide through replication methods, whether adapted directly or modified to meet specific needs.
5. Promote a quality culture among all members of the MOH Pharmacy programme.

Pharmacy Quality Improvement Initiatives Sharing Seminar No. 1/2023 was held on 6th December 2023 via Google Meet Video Conference. 778 attendees from various Divisions/ States/ Institutions participated in this session.

This sharing session included an Introduction to Lean in Healthcare, featuring the presentation of three (3) nationally recognized pharmacy lean projects in 2023 as follows:

1. Lean Healthcare Initiative Towards Improving Waiting Time at Ambulatory Pharmacy Hospital Sultan Abdul Halim (HSAH)
2. Improving the Workflow of Special Approval Medicine Applications in Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL)
3. Reduced Ward Stock (WS) Prescription Rejection After Working Hour at In-Patient Pharmacy, Hospital Sultanah Nora Ismail
