How to ensure that an advertisement has been approved by MAB?

All advertisements that have been approved by MAB were given approval number (eg KKLIU xxxx/EXP 31.12.2025). Advertisement approval number must be displayed clearly on every advertisement. If any pharmaceutical product or healthcare service advertisements were found without approval or not displaying their KKLIU number, members of the public may launch a complaint at Sispaa KKM https://moh.spab.gov.my/.

Does advertisement of registered pharmaceutical products still require prior approval from MAB?

Yes, approval from MAB is still required because product registration and product advertisement are two distinct matters. The registration of a product aims to ensure quality, safety and efficacy of the product and are under jurisdiction of the Drug Control Authority (DCA) whereas MAB only controls product advertisements. This is to protect consumers from misleading advertisements and to ensure all advertisements published comply with the requirements of the Medicines (Advertisement and Sale) Act 1956 and its Regulations.

Issuing "Letter of Good Standing"

"Letter of Good Standing" is the documents required by a pharmacist to be registered oversea's. This   document contains information such as personal details of the pharmacists, provisional training / pupillage, full registration as well as statements regarding the status of pharmacists either "in good standing" or vice versa.

Complaints can be made through phone call, email or via online HERE. You may also lodge your complaints to any nearby Pharmacy Enforcement Branch office.

How to apply for transfer within MOH facilities?

Applicant is required to fill in the Permohonan Pertukaran KKM (LAMPIRAN D) form and submit to Bahagian Sumber Manusia, KKM through Head of Department and State Deputy Health Director (Pharmacy).

How to apply for Pharmacy Intranet account?

Applicant is required to fill in the Borang Pendaftaran Pengguna Intranet form and submit to Seksyen Pengurusan Maklumat Farmasi, Bahagian Perkhidmatan Farmasi.
