Retrospective Analysis of the Malaysia Medicines Price Guide: Data Review from 2012 to 2022

Retrospective Analysis of the Malaysia Medicines Price Guide: Data Review from 2012 to 2022 refers to the analysis conducted on medicine price data voluntarily shared by Product Registration Holders (PRHs) for the Consumer Price Guide for 2012-2022. This report focuses on the response rate of PRHs to the voluntary sharing of medicine prices, trends in medicine prices, retail mark-up rates, and the correlation between prices shared by PRHs and market prices. In addition, there is also an analysis involving the comparison of prices shared by PRHs with trends predicted based on the national consumer price index. The results of this study generally indicate the effectiveness of the implementation of voluntary price sharing and the validity of the price information shared by PRHs.
