Indicator Guideline for Pharmacy Quality Improvement Initiatives Action Plan by Years 2024–2026
The Pharmacy Quality Improvement Initiatives (PharmQIIs) Action Plan has been created based on the National Policy for Quality in Healthcare (NPQH) and was carefully discussed at the national level by the Pharmacy Quality Improvement Initiatives Committee during the strengthening workshop held in 2022. The Action Plan was officially approved on 25 March 2024 and has been monitored annually online starting in 2024.
The objectives of this Action Plan are as follows:
- To reinforce the implementation of Pharmacy Quality Improvement Initiatives (QIIs) in accordance with national policies and requirements, including the National Policy for Quality in Healthcare (NPQH) 2022–2026, the Pharmacy Services Programme Strategic Plan, the Ministry of Health Malaysia Strategic Plan, the 12th Malaysia Plan (RMK-12), and other relevant national directives.
- To produce high-impact pharmacy QIIs projects that contribute significantly to the overall healthcare service delivery.
- To serve as a guideline for improving organisational efficiency in delivering of high- quality pharmacy services that contribute to the population’s well-being, in accordance with national development agendas.
