List of Pharmacy Quality Initiatives That Have Received Recognition at the Program / Ministry / National / International Level

The Pharmaceutical Services Program, Ministry of Health Malaysia, constantly monitors and acknowledges quality initiative activities accomplished by pharmacy workforce throughout the country such as Innovation, Innovation & Creative Circle (ICC), Quality Assurance (QA), lean and clinical audit.

 

The Best Practice Sharing method is used to disseminate ideas and encourage other ground facilities to adopt and implement relevant initiatives in their respective places. In addition, it can avoid the repetition of existing ideas and encourage the proliferation of new brainchild, thus enabling more creative and innovative initiatives to be conceived benefiting the society and increasing services productivity.

Malaysian Orphan Medicines Guideline 2020

The Ministry of Health (MOH) Malaysia recognises the needs of the patients with rare diseases in Malaysia. Under the Malaysian National Medicines Policy (MNMP) one of the focus areas to improve on is to enhance the accessibility of life-saving products and orphan medicines without compromising safety, quality and efficacy of the medicines.

Pharmacy Research Reports

The Pharmacy Research Reports is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Pharmaceutical Services Programme, Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH).  It contains research articles of pharmacy related researches conducted in the MOH by MOH pharmacists and other professionals throughout the country. This is part of the efforts to enhance research and knowledge sharing. The sharing of research findings is hoped to help pharmacists in the country to utilise available evidence in their practice and to encourage more pharmacists to embark in pharmacy research.
