The “TOLAK UBAT TIDAK SAH” campaign, officially abbreviated as “TOBaTS,” is a new initiative by the Pharmacy Enforcement Division , Ministry of Health (MOH) to combat the issue of illegal supply and sale of medicines in Malaysia.

Malaysian National Medicines Policy (MNMP) Fourth Term

Malaysian National Medicines Policy Fourth Term (2022-2026) is published as a revised version and strengthened in line with the changing times and country's health needs to the third edition. Components from the third term remained in the fourth term.

Malaysian National Medicines Policy (MNMP) Third Term

Malaysian National Medicines Policy Third Edition is published as a reviewed and revised version to the second edition. Effort and contribution in workshops and meetings together with all relevant stakeholders resulted in the publication of the third edition. Components from the second term remained in the third term and all the five (5) components in the third term are:

MNMP Second Term is published as a revised version of the MNMP First Term. This new term policy document is produced through joint efforts in workshops and meetings involving all stakeholders.

The core and supporting components from the first term have been rearranged to produce five main components of the MNMP Second Term as follows:

INTRODUCTION

Application for Temporary Registration of Pharmacist with Pharmacy Board of Malaysia

The 114th Malaysia Pharmacy Board (LFM) meeting has set new criteria for temporary registration with LFM. To register and practice in Malaysia, LFM only allows non-citizen pharmacists who meet the following criteria:

    1.Married to a Malaysian citizen

and they need to meet the following three (3) conditions:

   1. Degree in Pharmacy owned must be recognized by LFM and
   2. They need to take and pass the Qualifying Examination to Practice Pharmacy
   3. Must be registered in the home country

Master Plan of Action for the Second Term MNMP

Plan of action is prepared for the explanation of strategies about the policy planning. The Second Term MNMP Master Plan of Action is formulated following the Second Term MNMP. This document contains detailed information about the implementation timeline, indicator, target and related stakeholders for each activity and strategy in the policy.

How to recognize approved advertisement?

 

All advertisements approved by Medicines Advertisement Board (MAB) will be given approval numbers. The approval number begins with KKLIU, followed by 4 digits referring to the serial number and ends with year which refers to when the approval is submitted. Each approval number must be displayed on the published advertisement. Consumers are adviced not to be confused between MAL registration number with the serial number KKLIU approval.
